Research and Development Technician

> Read a standard tape measure and a caliper.
> Mathematic calculations such as adding/subtracting, decimal/fraction conversations with an understanding of basic geometry.
> Follow written and verbal instructions
> Read and write at a high school level
> Follow a blue print or drawing maintaining specified tolerances
> Experience with various shop tools/machinery including mill, lathe and MIG welding
> Bend, twist and turn from the waste and shoulder
> Grasp with hands to push and or pull
> Raise and lift objects above waist height
> Able to aid with the design and fabrication of templates and weld fixtures
> Must have some background knowledge with computers and 3d modeling programs
> Must be at work station at 6: 00am
> Available to work at least 5 days a week
> Understanding of basic health and safety practices.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
> Comply with FDA, ISO and OSHA standards at all times.
> Comply with all rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the company.
> Pull required material from stock.
> Set up mill following verbal or written work instructions.
> Machine, Mill and drill components following engineering specifications.
> Follow basic welding principles and concepts
> Perform First Piece verification process and documentation.
> Deburr cut pieces per blue print and engineering specifications.
> Ability to work as liaison between engineering and shop floor.
> Perform any additional tasks that may be assigned in any area of the plant.
